Position: Loft Café Associate Location: Austell, GA Job Id: 262 # of Openings: 1 Department: Loft Type: Part-time, Hourly Immediate Supervisor: Loft Community Manager General Statement Of Duties The Café Associate serves to promote the Loft Café and EpiFUEL Bar Menu, which includes a variety of hot and cold beverages, breakfast, and lunch items. We are looking for a passionate, outgoing, and customer‑oriented individual to join our team. In this role you will provide excellent customer service while preparing and serving drinks and food items to customers in our café and smoothie bar. You will also maintain the cleanliness of the café and smoothie bar and assist with other tasks as needed. Job Responsibilities Greet customers, answer questions, and take orders in a friendly and hospitable manner. Prepare and serve food and drinks per company standards. Serve smoothies, coffee, tea, sandwiches, salads, and other menu items. Clean and maintain work area, including wiping down counters, tables, and surfaces. Stock and restock refrigerators, shelves, and displays with food and beverages. Follow health and safety guidelines per company policy. Handle cash transactions accurately and provide change. Assist in other areas of the café as needed, such as serving customers at the register or restocking shelves. Maintain a neat and orderly appearance, including wearing a uniform if applicable. Ensure customer satisfaction by providing quality service and addressing complaints promptly. Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience working in a café or similar environment. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to work well in a fast‑paced environment. Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques. Ability to take orders accurately and efficiently. Knowledge of food and beverage safety regulations. Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods. Flexibility to work nights and weekends. Ability to operate cash registers and POS systems. Knowledge of food and beverage menu items. Ability to prepare various types of smoothies and other drinks. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Task Effort % of Time Spent on This Aspect of the Role 60% – Prepares and sells customers’ drink or food choice by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques while adhering to health and safety guidelines. 25% – Maintains inventories by replenishing materials and supplies; stocks all café items as needed. 10% – Handles transactions on the cash register, including balancing the register. 5% – Updates job knowledge by participating in educational and training opportunities. Working Conditions Primarily works in a fast‑paced environment. Frequently required to stand; use of hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear clearly. Frequently required to walk, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, or crouch. Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually low. Scope and Impact This non‑exempt position has recurring work duties. The role requires high accuracy and effective use of standard processes to avoid waste and maintain performance.
