Import Specialist

I'm currently partnering with a growing international freight forwarder in the Chicago area that's looking to add an experienced Import Operator to its operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in air and ocean imports who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and wants to continue developing their career. What you'll be doing: Managing air and ocean import shipments from A-Z Coordinating with overseas agents, carriers, customers, and customs brokers Monitoring shipments and providing proactive customer updates Handling invoicing, documentation, and shipment tracking Working within CargoWise to manage files and maintain accurate records Supporting customs entry coordination and Importer Security Filings (ISFs) What we're looking for: 3+ years' experience in import operations (air & ocean) Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment Customs entry writing experience is advantageous Based in the Chicago/ORD area What's on offer: Hybrid working flexibility Ongoing training and opportunities to broaden your skillset Long-term career progression within a growing business #J-18808-Ljbffr
