Job Opportunity – Endoscopy RN – North Carolina

Location: Western North Carolina

Schedule: Four 9-hour shifts scheduled between Monday-Friday with variable start times based on daily assignment. One overnight call shift per week (call starts at end of 9-hour shift until 7:00 AM or at 5:00 PM if not working). Two weekend call shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 AM) during each 6-week scheduling period. Shift times: Pre-op RN 6:30 AM - 4:00 PM or 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM; PACU RN 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM or 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM; Procedure RN 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM.

Highlights:

• Join an 815-bed acute care facility serving as the regional referral center for tertiary and quaternary care in western North Carolina
• Work in a comprehensive endoscopy unit featuring Pre-op (8 beds), PACU (6 beds), and 4 procedure rooms with variable patient ratios
• Gain experience with diverse adult procedures including EGD, colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, ERCP, EBUS, bronchoscopy, ION navigational bronchoscopy, and various stent placements
• Pediatric endoscopy experience available with patients ranging from ages 1-18 for EGD, sigmoidoscopy, and colonoscopy
• Utilize advanced equipment including Olympus Scopes, ERBE, Medivator, ION, Boston Scientific, and Cook devices with Cerner EMR system

Requirements:

• Active RN license in North Carolina or Compact State
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Prior endoscopy nursing experience required
• Pediatric endoscopy experience preferred
• Pulmonary endoscopy experience preferred
• Endoscopy tech experience is a plus
