Housekeeping Associate

Supervisor’s Title: Director of Plant Operations Position Summary Performs housekeeping and laundry services to maintain a clean, comfortable, and attractive living environment for residents. Essential Job Functions Perform weekly and routine cleaning functions as directed; report mechanical issues promptly; use protective eyewear as appropriate. Complete miscellaneous assignments to meet department needs; support cross‑department teamwork. Hospitality Standards Greet residents, employees, and guests warmly—by name and with a smile. Treat everyone with courtesy and respect; embrace and value our differences. Anticipate needs and act proactively; listen and respond promptly and enthusiastically. Hold ourselves and one another accountable; maintain professionalism in conduct and appearance. Pay attention to details; ask, “Is there anything else I can do for you?” Education High school diploma or equivalent. Experience Six (6) months of prior housekeeping experience preferred. Knowledge/Skills Effective communication, teamwork, attention to safety and detail. Comfort using Gardens Care’s approved systems is required: Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail, Calendar, Meet), ECP (care management), Sagely (life enrichment/ activity documentation), and ADP (timekeeping, payroll, scheduling). Special Requirements Medical clearance per policy. Tools & Equipment Standard housekeeping carts and supplies; laundry equipment. Physical Activities Lift/carry up to 50 lbs.; climb/reach/bend/twist occasionally; frequent talking and listening; frequent handling of linens/supplies. Physical Requirements Visual Requirements Read/communicate effectively to maintain a safe environment. Indoor/outdoor tasks; potential exposure to cleaning agents managed through safety protocols.
