Lamar Community College has an exciting opportunity for you to be our next Assistant Women's Soccer Coach. We are looking for a dynamic, passionate, dedicated individual who will lead and implement LCC’s strategic plan. Job Summary: LCC is seeking an energetic and dedicated Assistant Soccer Coach to join our women's team and mentor our student-athletes. This position is a part-time, year-round assistant soccer coaching position. The right candidate for this job will be enthusiastic and will be ready to contribute to the growth and success of the team. Duties & Responsibilities: Assist to recruit student-athletes in accordance with NJCAA, Region IX and LCC rules and regulations including official and unofficial recruiting visits and admissions procedures Support retention of student-athletes Monitor and report academic progress of team members Prepare and maintain gymnasium Assist with practices Attend and assist at all scheduled games and team events Demonstrate sportsmanship at all times while serving as the Assistant Women's Soccer Coach Comply with all requirements of FERPA, Title IX, Clery, policies of the institution, the Colorado Community College System, and all local, state and federal laws while performing the required duties of the position Other duties as assigned by the Women's Head Soccer Coach Competencies/KSAs: Knowledge of sport-specific coaching techniques, recruiting practices, and NJCAA regulations. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Ability to recruit, develop, mentor, and retain student-athletes. Ability to foster academic success, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Ability to assist with program operations, travel, scheduling, and compliance requirements. Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, accountability, and commitment to student success. Positive role model for student-athletes. Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required. Ability to maintain compliance with institutional and athletic governing body requirements. Minimum Qualifications: Associate Degree or euqivelant combination of education and relevant experience. Experience playing soccer at a collegiate level Ability to work varied schedule Strong oral communication skills Disciplined to work productively with minimal supervision with a strong can-do attitude and an ability to roll up your sleeves to get things done Ability to communicate effectively and in a positive manner with superiors, peers and students Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree Knowledge of NJCAA rules and regulations Previous experience as a soccer coach or assistant coach at some level Previous experience recruiting soccer players Selection Process: One round-interview process All applications must be submitted online.
