The ideal candidate for this position would have strong experience with equipment repair, strong mechanical aptitude, and specifically some experience working with electronics & or small motor repair. Position Overview: Alliance Source Testing is a service company that provides air sampling from industrial smokestacks. The Equipment Maintenance Technician is a vital part of the stack testing operations of each office. A self‑starter who will work under the guidance of the Operations Manager and Project Management team. This position supports field work activities by ensuring that equipment is maintained to the standards of Alliance Source Testing. The Equipment Coordinator will support an office with at least 10 field personnel and will play a key role in maximizing efficiency of the field staff. Duties & Responsibilities Repair, clean and organize various test equipment as well as the warehouse/office facilities Electrical and mechanical repair of sampling equipment Perform maintenance on sampling equipment Calibrate sampling equipment following Standard Operating Procedures Clean and prepare sampling equipment (pre/post field work) Clean, restock and organize standard equipment load‑out on mobile laboratories Maintain the supply room and calibration gas inventory Facility maintenance Occasional transport of samples to various laboratories and test equipment to other AST offices Track vehicle and trailer service intervals and ensure maintenance is performed on schedule Assist in loading equipment for field projects Maintain a positive attitude and work well in groups Travel (up to 25%) Flexibility: Available to work 40+ hour weeks as well as some nights and weekends Submit timesheets and expense reports on time Safety and DOT compliance Adhere to Health and Safety Program Manual Follow all DOT requirements Proper use of Electronic Logging Device (ELD) Work safely in office and field environments Conduct on‑site field‑testing assistance in a limited capacity Equipment and mobile lab cleaning Assist in equipment mobilizations and demobilizations Follow current standards, codes and procedures regarding safe and effective use of equipment, maintenance programs and other policies Represent the company professionally at customer sites and in the office Follow all test methods, procedures and processes as trained to ensure quality source testing Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude Ability to drive a pickup truck and pull an enclosed trailer Adhere to all company driving policies Adhere to all company safety policies Lift 50 pounds and climb a ladder Work overtime and occasional weekends as needed Good verbal and written communication skills Multi‑task and prioritize effectively Work independently or as part of a team Use basic office equipment: scanner, copier, PC Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel (plus) Employee Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Flexible Spending Accounts 401(k) Plan with Competitive Match Continuing Education and Tuition Assistance Employer‑Sponsored Disability Benefits Life Insurance Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Paid Time Off (PTO), Paid Holidays, & Bonus Floating Holiday (if hired before July 1st) Profit Sharing or Individual Bonus Programs Referral Program Employee Discount Hub Education AS or BS degree preferred (Science and Engineering related fields ideal) Experience Previous stack testing experience is preferred. Basic vehicle maintenance with ability to drive a pickup truck and pull a mobile laboratory trailer. Use of basic office equipment: scanner, copier, PC, etc. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Good written and vocal communication skills (internally and with clients and regulators) with professional appearance and behavior. Maintain positive attitude with ability to multi‑task and work well in groups or as part of a team. Work safely in a work and office environment, operate an aerial lift from the platform or deck and willingness to work at elevated heights on stack platforms up to 300 feet. Certifications Valid driver’s license Physical Requirements Consistent standing or walking, bending, crouching or stooping, climbing ladders and/or stairs, frequent lifting of objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
