Senior Director of Development, Major Gifts

ZRG Aspen Leadership Group is proud to partner with Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services in the search for a Senior Director of Development, Major Gifts. Reporting to the Chief Philanthropy Officer, the Senior Director of Development, Major Gifts will be a key member of the Development team and responsible for building and implementing Didi Hirsch's individual and major gifts strategy. The Senior Director will serve as the lead relationship manager to a portfolio of 100-125 major donors, developing and implementing strategies to move these prospects towards established goals, making assignments to other staff and volunteers as appropriate, and ensuring timely follow-through. In this senior leadership role, the Senior Director will provide strategic vision and leadership to shape the long-term strategy for individual and major gifts, aligning with organizational priorities and growth objectives. This role will also work in close partnership with the Chief Philanthropy Officer to support leadership and interface with the board of directors to cultivate relationships in order to achieve fundraising goals. The Didi Hirsch Suicide Prevention Center is the nation's first and most comprehensive suicide prevention center, offering 24/7 crisis services, therapy, support groups, training, and research to save lives and inspire hope. Since 1942, Didi Hirsch has been there for people navigating suicidal thoughts, loss, attempts, and mental health struggles. Their team has trained over 175,000 individuals, supported millions of callers and families, and helped shape the way suicide prevention works across the country. Didi Hirsch provides compassionate mental health, substance use, and suicide prevention services to individuals and families, especially in communities where discrimination and injustice limit access. They envision a future where everyone can thrive with access to high-quality care that treats mental and physical health as inseparable. A bachelor's degree and at least seven years of progressive responsibility and fundraising experience with individual and major gifts, along with a minimum of three years of supervisory experience, is required for this position.
