Requirements / Qualifications

Required Document: Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) driver and/or vehicle/vessel record of traffic and accident involvement (INF-1125), within the last 30 days. (Current School Bus Drivers within the district do not need to submit.) Detailed Resume

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: A minimum of three years of school bus driving or student transportation experience. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid California Class A or B driver's license with appropriate passenger endorsements. Valid California Special Driver Certificate School Bus; Valid medical examiner's certificate. Possession of a current certificate in infant, child and adult cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and a certified Multimedia First Aid Card is required. Online certificates are not accepted.

Located in east San Diego County. The district is 66.3 square miles in size, and serves elementary students in grades K-8 feeding into the Grossmont Union High School District. The district has approximately 16,600 students, plus approximately 800 preschool students, with 26 schools (6 middle schools, 19 elementary schools and 1 preschool). The District is largely urban in nature with some rural areas. Regardless of what our employees' needs are, we meet them with the personalized attention only a caring school district can provide.
