Job Description
Title: PCU - Progressive Care

Schedule:
- Nights
- Shift options: 36 or 48 hours

Assignment Details:
- Patient ratio: 1:4
- Weekend requirement: As needed / rotating
- Float: Yes - may float to like units within scope

Requirements:
- Cardiovascular/stepdown experience required
- 2 years preferred; will consider 1+ year
- Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS; CPI preferred
- Charting system: Epic required
- Key clinical skills: Cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation, post-cath/post-op cardiac care and monitoring, management of cardiac drips, experience with HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP, non-invasive airway support, IV/PICC/central line care, phlebotomy, heparin and insulin protocols, blood product administration, wound care, feeding tube care as applicable

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Monitor and provide care for patients with cardiac conditions in a stepdown unit
- Interpret cardiac telemetry and manage dysrhythmias
- Administer medications and manage intravenous therapy as per protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families about care plans and procedures

Compliance / Notes:
- Pending state/compact licenses accepted but must be obtained prior to start
- Local travelers not accepted within 50-mile radius
- Required pre-placement modules completed onsite during orientation
