Pay: $35.00–$50.00 per hour, based on experience Benefits: Dental insurance, health insurance, health savings account, paid time off, professional development assistance, and vision insurance Flexible scheduling options available (Full-time, Part-time, Contract, or Internship) A Day in the Life of a Trauma-Focused Mental Health Specialist In this role, you'll provide out-patient, patient-centered, trauma-focused care to youth and adults facing mental health and substance abuse challenges. You'll work alongside a coordinated care team to deliver crisis intervention, therapy, and skill-building support that helps clients stabilize and move forward. This position plays a key role in advancing accessible, trauma-informed mental health care across South Central Idaho. Responsibilities include: Conducting comprehensive diagnostic assessments and treatment planning Providing crisis intervention services Facilitating individual, group, and family psychotherapy Delivering Equine Assisted Psychotherapy Collaborating with problem-solving courts, adult and juvenile corrections, medical providers, and community treatment partners Leading skill-building groups for adults or children with serious and persistent mental illness or severe emotional disturbance Supporting family support programs Delivering out-patient substance abuse treatment and recovery support For supervisory positions: providing clinical supervision (requires independent licensure and 2+ years of supervisory experience) Requirements and Qualifications: Current Idaho Counseling License (LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LCPC, AMFT, or LMFT) or a master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Counseling, or Social Work, with willingness to obtain Idaho licensure within 6 months of hire 1+ years of counseling experience preferred (not required) Experience in addiction medicine helpful Ability to maintain client confidentiality About the Hiring Company: Our client is a behavioral health organization dedicated to providing coordinated, trauma-focused crisis stabilization services to youth and adults throughout South Central Idaho.
