They will oversee the activities of associates involved in verifying and maintaining records of incoming and outgoing shipments, as well as preparing items for shipment. Additionally, they will manage warehouse tasks including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments.ResponsibilitiesWork in accordance with safety rules and actively support safety teamMaintain excellent standards for housekeepingInitiate, submit, and track work orders for required maintenance and repairsDirect and assign workloads, ensuring a smooth and efficient flow of labor versus productivityConduct timely reviews of pick lists assuring FIFO requirements are incorporated and metSchedule appointments with truck load carriersGenerate pick lists and CO's according to date, print them, and assist in the picking, scanning, and shipping processesCreate box labels, BOL, packing slips, and stickers as required for each itemMaintain organized order paperwork for efficient processingMonitor and follow up on open orders to ensure on-time shipping resultsReview orders against shipping or customer order requirementsCheck receipts against PO/RA for proper shipment, shortages, damages or defectsSupport and assist in parcel shipping/processing of all necessary paperworkReceive incoming materials (packaging, resins, and finished/brokered goods)Coordinate, initiate, participate in, and report physical inventory countsReview inventory reports and reconcile report to actual countsPerform reconciliation of conveyorsParticipate fully in meetings, training sessions, skill building and professional development classesPerform additional duties as assigned by managementEducationHigh School Diploma or Associates DegreeExperience3-5 years’ work experience in a shipping settingKnowledge, Skills, AbilitiesData entry and keyboarding accuracyStrong interpersonal and communication skillsPlanning and problem solving abilitiesProven leadership skillsAbility to read a packing slip, pick list, and training material for certification on forkliftOrganizational skillsStrong computer skills including proficiency in Excel/Outlook and exposure to inventory softwareKnowledge of modes of transportation and infrastructureForklift certificationEssential FunctionsRegular and Reliable AttendanceReadingWritingVisual AcuityAscend/Descend Stairways and Platforms with Heights of up to 50+ feetStanding for 12 hoursWalkingBendingTwistingReachingPushingPullingLifting/Carrying up to 30 pounds (higher weights require a two-person lift)Concentration #J-18808-Ljbffr Petoskey-Plastics
