Part-Time Bookkeeper (In-Person)

About Us

Ask George provides concierge business support services to small and growing businesses in Northern Virginia. We are expanding and seeking a reliable, detail-oriented part-time Bookkeeper to support accounting activities for our clients.

Job Summary

The Bookkeeper will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and recordkeeping. This is an in-person position based in Falls Church, VA.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers
• Process invoices, receipts, and payments
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Prepare financial reports for management review
• Assist with year-end reporting and audits as needed
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting standards

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Accounting or related field preferred)
• 2+ years of bookkeeping experience (QuickBooks experience a plus)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and standard accounting software

Schedule & Compensation

• Part-time: 10–15 hours per week, flexible weekday hours
• Pay: Competitive hourly rate based on experience
• This role is W-2 employment , not an independent contractor position
