Job Description

As a Security Officer New York State License Patrol in New York NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a government transportation location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents and support riders visitors and staff with outstanding customer service and this role you will embody our agile reliable and innovative approach put people first work through teamwork and act with integrity every day.

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities within a government-operated public transit location.
• Respond to incidents service calls and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner while communicating with site contacts supervisors and/or public-facing personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of platforms stations facilities access points and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor public areas and restricted spaces for policy compliance document observations and incidents and report security-related concerns according to site protocols.
• Support access control activities assist with directing passengers and visitors and provide visible presence throughout assigned transit locations during varying conditions and schedules.

Minimum Requirements:

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
