Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department Profession: RN Specialty: RN - Emergency Department Duration: 5 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36 or 48 hours per week Experience: Recent experience with EPIC required License: Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Must-Have: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required AHA-PALS certification required Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) or Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification required NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required Description: Deliver coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinate care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and professional judgment. Collect relevant data pertinent to patient health or situation. Analyze assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develop plans that prescribe interventions to achieve outcomes. Implement care plans and coordinate delivery of care. Evaluate progress toward achieving outcomes. Identify outcomes for patients and their situations. Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to provide care in a safe and healing environment. Provide learning opportunities for patients, family members, and team members. Directly supply health information to patients and families. Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegate tasks appropriately and coordinate duties of healthcare team members. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Commit to the safety and wellbeing of associates and patients. Ensure all required vaccinations are received as a condition of employment. Medical and religious exemptions may apply. Participate in E-Verify as required.
