Purpose of the position: To prepare and serve food in accordance with government rules and regulations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (Functions essential to attaining job objectives):
Strategic Goal Area I-Student Achievement
1. Serves students healthy meals on a daily basis in order to support student learning.
Strategic Goal Area II-Stakeholder Engagement and Loyalty
1. Attends job-related training classes and workshops (All employees must complete SL1 or O.N.E. class).

Strategic Goal Area II-Stakeholder Engagement and Loyalty
- Works under the direction of the School Nutrition Manager/Assistant Manager.
- Demonstrates the ability to work with the school community.
- Practices proper procedures in food preparation, use and care of equipment, and personal habits to assure that sanitation standards are met.
- Follows standards of safety in preparing, storing, and serving food.
- Participates in implementing promotions related to the program.
1. Attends job-related training classes and workshops (All employees must complete SL1 or O.N.E. class).
OTHER EXPECTATIONS
- Adhere to the Code of Ethics for Educators in Georgia
- Demonstrate prompt and regular attendance /timeliness
- Complete assignments and requirements on time and in compliance with directions
- Maintain accurate, complete, and appropriate records
- Maintain confidentiality of information and records for students and staff
JOB STANDARDS (Minimum qualifications needed to perform essential job functions):
- Ninth grade education or HSE.
- Able to read, write, and follow instructions.
- Able to lift 30 pound loads and stand on hard floor surfaces 6-7 hours per day.
- Practice good personal hygiene.

Cash register, Institutional Kitchen Equipment
CRITICAL SKILLS/EXPERTISE (Needed for this job specifically):
- Ability to measure and weigh ingredients.
- Ability to follow directions both orally and written.
- Ability to compute basic math.
- Ability to work well with people.
