As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Screening in Minooka, IL , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM How This Role Works: Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, access control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location. Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, process visitors and/or deliveries, and maintain required access records for associates, contractors, and transportation personnel. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and report unusual activity, policy violations, and/or access concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership. Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including the perimeter, parking areas, gates, docks, and warehouse‑related access points, as working environments and conditions may vary by site. Help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruption by observing site activity, following post orders, and communicating clearly with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal team members. Minimum Requirements Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
