As a Security Officer Enhanced Retail Part Time Patrol Driver in Escondido, CA , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeTue08:00 AM - 04:00 PM How This Role Works: Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities: Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access guidance, and security‑related support throughout the retail location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, and perimeter access points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor entrances, exits, and high‑traffic areas to help to deter unauthorized activity, support crowd flow during busy periods, and report policy violations or maintenance concerns. Complete routine activity logs, incident reports, and/or other required documentation related to patrol observations, customer interactions, and security‑related events. Minimum Requirements: A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Security experience of 6+ months is required. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
