Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting elementary students as a School Psychologist based near Elgin, IL. This contract position is ideal for dynamic professionals eager to contribute their expertise within a nurturing school environment. Working onsite, you’ll collaborate closely with staff and families, addressing the needs of a diverse caseload across one or possibly two elementary locations. Your schedule will follow the school day from 7:45am to 3:30pm, averaging 37.5 hours per week, with the assignment continuing through May 28, 2027.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Hold a valid School Psychologist license or certification
- Master’s or higher degree in School Psychology or a related field
- Experience providing psychological and educational assessments in school settings
- Strong understanding of elementary student development and behavior
- Ability to facilitate IEP meetings and consult with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational evaluations for 35-45 elementary students
- Interpret assessment results and make recommendations for interventions and supports
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop and implement IEPs
- Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and consultation services
- Support a positive, inclusive learning environment across assigned locations
- Maintain accurate records in line with district, state, and federal requirements
