Client: Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company

Location: Waterloo, IA 50701

Duration: 24 Months (Possibility of Extension & Conversion)

Shift: 2nd Shift - 3:30 PM-12:00 AM OR 3rd Shift - 10:30 PM-7:00 AM

Description:

Job Summary

Support manufacturing engineering projects and process improvements within the foundry/assembly environment. This role works closely with engineers, supervisors, operators, suppliers, and contractors to improve manufacturing processes, quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and execute manufacturing engineering projects.
Analyze and improve manufacturing processes, systems, equipment, and methods.
Develop and test engineering solutions.
Support engineering standards, specifications, inspections, and validations.
Coordinate activities with suppliers, subcontractors, and contractors.
Identify process and system deficiencies and implement improvements.
Support product development and engineering activities.
Work within established project management plans.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Spend approximately 75% of the time on the shop floor.

Required Skills & Experience

1+ year of foundry/process engineering experience.
Manufacturing/process engineering experience.
Strong project management skills.
Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Desired Skills

Manufacturing line/process design.
SAP, MES, Creo, or AutoCAD.
Controls engineering and safety-system design.
FANUC robotics programming and troubleshooting highly preferred.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent relevant experience.
