Job Overview:
The Human Resources Generalist will play a critical role in supporting a growing fiber broadband network provider. This position will be responsible for a wide range of HR functions, including employee relations, HR administration, compliance, onboarding, performance management support, benefits coordination, recruiting support, and collaboration with the company’s Professional Employer Organization (PEO). Candidates with experience in telecommunications, cable, broadband, or related infrastructure industries are strongly preferred. The role reports directly to the Director of Human Resources.

Responsibilities:

• Administer day-to-day human resources operations across the employee lifecycle.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, benefits, leave administration, and HR programs.
• Coordinate onboarding, offboarding, employment documentation, and personnel file maintenance.
• Partner with managers on employee relations matters, performance management, investigations, and workplace issues.
• Support recruiting activities, including interviews, candidate coordination, and offer administration.
• Coordinate with the company's PEO and benefit providers on benefits, payroll-related matters, and compliance requirements.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with employees, managers, candidates, vendors, and PEO representatives regarding HR policies, processes, and follow-up items.
• Assist with policy development, handbook updates, and HR process improvements.
• Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Support training, organizational development, and workforce planning initiatives.
• Prepare HR reports, metrics, and analyses for management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Approximately 5 years of Human Resources Generalist experience.
• Knowledge of employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, leave management, and HR best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain HR policies, document employee relations matters, and interact effectively with employees and leaders at all levels.
• Experience and fluency working with HRIS platforms, Microsoft Office applications, and AI tools.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
• Experience supporting a multi-state workforce is preferred.
• Telecommunications, cable, broadband, utility, construction, or infrastructure industry experience strongly preferred.

Preferred Certifications:

• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred, though not required.
