Horacio Sosa, P.A. is looking for a motivated, self-starter to join our team as a Probate Attorney.

Requirements:

• Associate attorney with 3+ years’ experience in probate.
• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree required from an accredited law school as well as admitted to practice law in the State of Florida.
• Communicate frequently with clients. Clients seek our professional services related to the most traumatic events in their lives, so compassion and empathy are critical.
• Strong legal drafting experience, specifically for probate and guardianship cases. Drafting estate planning documents, a plus.
• Ability to manage a case from beginning to end.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, ex. attend probate and guardianship hearings.
• Strong legal research and analysis skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Litigation experience is a plus, but not required.
• Bilingual English / Spanish desired, but not required (Please indicate on resume).
• Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office-based computer programs.
• Self-motivated and must take initiative.
• Ability to make timely decisions in the face of obstacles, difficulties, and challenges.
• Focus on meeting demanding deadlines.
• Meticulous attention to accuracy, detail and organization.
• Must maintain professionalism in stressful and challenging situations.
• Naturally inquisitive, continuous learner, hungry for new knowledge/skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Well-organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task and function positively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of court rules and filing procedures (including e-filing), and ability to adhere to law office procedures.
• This is NOT a hybrid position. Employee is expected to work a full-time (40 hours/week) schedule in the office.
• We are a strict system-based Firm. Employee is expected to adhere to standard operating procedures in place.

We are looking for an individual who is outgoing, focused, able to manage a high volume and time sensitive workflow effectively and efficiently. Strong people skills are necessary. The position requires one to work both independently and within a team environment. Experience with Wealth Counsel and Clio a PLUS.
