Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (m|f|d)

Your Responsibilities You will design and engineer machines and assemblies using CAD systems (particularly Creo and Windchill) You will create bills of materials in the S7 ERP system, as well as manufacturing documents, presentations, and technical documentation You serve as the central point of contact between R&D, internal departments, customers, and suppliers, ensuring seamless technical coordination You define the interfaces between our plasma systems and external automation partners and oversee the integration process You manage project management during the development and design phases (deadlines, costs, quality) You perform calculations and simulations for the design and optimization of components and assemblies You oversee prototype construction, commissioning, testing, and acceptance at our production sites and directly at the customer’s location You assist with bid preparation as well as the technical evaluation and selection of suppliers You ensure compliance with norms, guidelines, and internal company standards Your Profile You have a degree in mechanical engineering or mechatronics (Bachelor’s/Master’s) or a comparable technical degree You have at least 5 years of professional experience in design/development, ideally in custom machine building and with complex assemblies You are familiar with relevant standards and guidelines You have in-depth CAD skills (ideally Creo) and experience working with PDM/PLM systems (ideally Windchill) You have excellent written and spoken German and good written and spoken English You think analytically, act in a solution-oriented manner, and possess a high level of technical understanding You demonstrate a strong sense of quality and responsibility You work in a structured and independent manner You view occasional business trips—including international travel—as a welcome change of pace You hold a Class B driver’s license Our Benefits Remote work and flexible hours help you maintain a healthy work-life balance 30 days of vacation give you plenty of time to relax Modern workspaces and high-quality equipment support you in your daily work A wide range of development opportunities help you actively advance your career Healthcare , an on-site doctor, and fitness programs contribute to your well‑being A subsidized retirement plan secures your future A cafeteria , free coffee , and discounted beverages ensure relaxing breaks JobRad and good public transportation connections make your daily commute easier Bonus payments and anniversary bonuses recognize your commitment and loyalty Company parties and attractive employee discounts strengthen team spirit and offer additional benefits Benefits may vary depending on location and position.
