Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations and obtain histories that inform clinical decisions.
• Prescribe appropriate non-narcotic medications, physical therapy, and interventions, following current clinical guidelines.
• Order and interpret imaging studies, ensuring targeted and effective diagnostics for each patient.
• Design and implement personalized care plans based on individual patient needs and clinical assessments.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting findings, treatments, and patient interactions in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families about treatment options, recovery processes, and pain management strategies.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to deliver a multidisciplinary approach to pain management.
• Actively participate in team meetings to discuss patient care initiatives and contribute to continuous quality improvement efforts.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physician Assistant will primarily work with patients experiencing acute and chronic pain conditions, focusing on improving their quality of life through comprehensive care strategies. This role requires an understanding of the complexities of pain management and the potential psychological and emotional impacts on patients. The diverse client base represents various demographics and diagnoses, offering a fulfilling challenge to deliver exceptional care tailored to individual needs.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Hold a valid and active Physician Assistant licensure in New York State.
• Strong clinical skills with proficiency in conducting physical examinations and diagnosing a variety of medical conditions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to patient care.
• Ability to work independently with confidence while also thriving within a collaborative healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of three years of experience as a Physician Assistant in a clinical setting is preferred, ideally in pain management or a related specialty.

Compensation and Benefits
