Payroll Specialist

We are looking for a strong Payroll Administrator / Payroll Specialist to join our team.

Payroll Processing

• Coordinate, reconcile and process weekly and bi-weekly payroll using ADP Workforce Payroll
• Establish accurate and timely processing of payroll
• Calculate and process wage adjustments
• Process employee changes (i.e. new hires, terminations, garnishments, tax levy deductions, calculations, other deductions, etc.)
• Assure timely processing of all workers' compensation and unemployment wage requests
• Complete and submit disability coverage data for processing and payment
• Arrange payroll reports as needed
• Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions
• Respond promptly and courteously to all payroll inquiries from management and employees
• Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential
• Conduct other tasks as required and assigned
• Must be technology savvy
• Must have strong excel macros skills

Required

• At least three (3) years of payroll at a company with at least 500 employees
• Multi-State Payroll experience
• Multi-location Payroll experience
• Eligible to work in the United States with the status of a Permanent Resident or US Citizen

Preferred

• Bachelors' or associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification
• Current or previous employment by staffing company
• Canadian payroll experience

Technical

• Intermediate Level Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, IF Formulas)
• Intermediate Level Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint
• Expert Level Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now

Interpersonal

• Ability to use metrics to maintain and improve the international payroll process
• Ability to meet deadlines, multi-task efficiently and cooperate with fellow professionals in various disciplines and both office and out-of-office environments
• Detail oriented, with high level of ethics and integrity
• Must be willing to develop and grow with the company and have the desire to take on more responsibility
• Superior communication skills (oral, written)
