Desktop Support Technician IIImmediate need for a talented Desktop Support Technician II. This is a 06+ months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Boston, MA (Onsite).Pay Range: $30 - $31/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).Key ResponsibilitiesProvide Level II deskside support for Windows desktops, laptops, Microsoft 365, applications, and peripherals.Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, printer, scanner, and mobile device issues.Image, configure, deploy, refresh, and maintain IT devices and asset inventory.Support manufacturing technology, label printers, RF devices, conference rooms, and site systems.Provide Smart Hands support for network equipment, switches, wireless, cabling, racks, and infrastructure projects.Manage incidents and service requests through ticketing systems, maintaining accurate documentation and meeting SLAs.Coordinate with remote IT/network teams and provide excellent customer service to end users and site leadership.Follow security, safety, and operational standards while identifying opportunities for process improvement.Key Requirements and Technology ExperienceKey Skills: Desktop Support, Windows 10/11, Hardware Troubleshooting, Printer & Peripheral Support, Ticketing Systems, Asset Management3+ years of experience in desktop, deskside, field, or Level II IT support.Strong knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11.Experience supporting Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365.Experience with ServiceNow or a similar IT ticketing system.Understanding of TCP/IP and basic networking fundamentals.Experience troubleshooting printers, peripherals, scanners, and mobile devices.Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to prioritize multiple technical issues in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Previous experience supporting users in a manufacturing or industrial environment.Experience with Zebra or similar label printers.Knowledge of network switches, wireless infrastructure, and Smart Hands support.Experience with IT asset management and hardware lifecycle programs.CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or equivalent technical certification.Our client is a leading IT Industry and we are currently interviewing to fill this and other similar contract positions.
