Accounts Payable Specialist Location: Pleasant Hill, California Employment Type: Full-Time Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our small but dynamic accounting team. This full‑time role will report to the Accounting Manager and work closely with three other accounting professionals. The position is responsible for processing invoices, checks, and general ledger entries, ensuring accurate financial records in Yardi. Key Responsibilities: Enter and code invoices into Yardi, ensuring proper approvals and accuracy. Prepare and process checks, ACH payments, and wire transfers. Record accounts payable transactions in the general ledger accurately and timely. Maintain and reconcile vendor accounts and statements. Collaborate with project managers to verify project‑related expenses. Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing procedures. Support auditing and reporting requirements. Respond to vendor inquiries professionally and promptly. Work closely with the Accounting Manager and team members to maintain efficient accounting operations. Qualifications: 2+ years of accounts payable experience; experience in project management or property management is a plus. Proficiency with Yardi required; other accounting software experience is beneficial. Knowledge of general ledger accounting and accounts payable processes. High attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a small team environment. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Integrity and discretion when handling sensitive financial information. Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience. This role is part of a small accounting team: one Accounting Manager and three other accounting professionals. Collaboration and attention to detail are key to the team’s success.
