L&D RN - Nights

Responsibilities Provide direct patient care to women in labor, through delivery, postpartum, and to newborns. Perform assessments, monitor labor progress, prepare for C‑sections and inductions, and properly document nursing care. Administer care during labor, post‑delivery, and postpartum, including infant care and patient education. Prepare the delivery room, provide emotional support, and coordinate transfers. Administer IV medications, adhere to infection‑control principles and obstetrics department policies. Ensure maternal childcare and newborn care throughout. Qualifications RN graduate with current Colorado licensure. Current CPR certification. Neonatal Resuscitation Certification and ACLS within one year of employment. Four years of obstetrics care experience preferred. Knowledge of or interest in labor, delivery, postpartum, and nursing care essentials. Principles of sterile technique and infection control. Skilled in technical aspects of mother/infant care. Ability to perform effectively in highly stressful situations. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Physical Requirements Long periods of standing, walking, and heavy lifting. Exposure to blood and bodily fluids, unpleasant sights, smells, and potential infectious diseases. Shift & Working Environment Full time, 36 hours per week (7:00 pm–7:00 am). May rotate shifts and areas as staffing and census require.
