Mobile Application Developer (Kotlin Primary)

NTT DATA Services is seeking a Mobile Application Developer with strong expertise in Kotlin and Android application development as the primary skill, along with working knowledge of Swift and iOS development as a secondary skill. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building scalable, user-friendly, and high-performance mobile applications while supporting cross-platform mobile initiatives.

Location: Westlake, Texas/ Durham, North Carolina. (Hybrid - work from client office every alternate week (all five days))

Role Summary: We are looking for a talented Mobile Application Developer to join our team in Westlake, Texas (US-TX), United States (US), or Durham, NC (US-NC), USA (US).

Day to Day Job Duties:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin.
• Build clean, scalable, and maintainable mobile solutions following Android best practices.
• Integrate RESTful APIs, third-party SDKs, and backend services.
• Develop responsive and intuitive mobile user interfaces.
• Optimize applications for performance, security, and reliability.
• Implement unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting for Android applications.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, backend developers, and product teams.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and release planning.

Basic Qualifications:

• 8+ years' experience in Kotlin and/or Android application development
• 8+ years' experience with Android SDK, Android Studio, and/or Jetpack components
• 8+ years' experience in REST API integration and/or JSON handling
• 8+ years' experience with local storage solutions such as Room, SQLite, or SharedPreferences

Preferred Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of Swift and iOS development
• Familiarity with UIKit and/or SwiftUI
• Understanding of iOS application lifecycle and development fundamentals
