Loan Documentation Specialist

Description Summary The Loan Documentation Specialist is responsible for centralized loan documentation preparation and loan funding within the allocated time frames defined by the Bank. Provides a high level of customer service to lenders/loan portfolio managers/bankers in preparing consumer and commercial loan documentation ensuring all federal regulations and Bank policy are complied with prior to issuance. Location: This role will primarily be in-office at an approved Gulf Coast Bank & Trust location unless otherwise agreed upon with management. The location and any agreements made may be amended or changed at any time at the company’s discretion. Responsibilities Gather all necessary documents from the lender/loan portfolio manager required to produce loan documents. Review all documentation for accuracy and completeness. Prepare loan documents using the LaserPro system timely and accurately. Must be able to communicate both verbally and electronically with all parties involved. Responsible for ensuring all federal regulations and Bank policy are complied with prior to producing loan documents. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Skills/Experience/Education High school diploma or equivalent. Previous banking experience strongly preferred. Previous LaserPro experience preferred. Knowledge of compliance and regulatory law. Strong communication and customer service skills. Detail oriented with a strong focus on accuracy. Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment that changes quickly. Knowledge of personal computers including the Microsoft Office suite of products. Essential Mental & Physical Requirements Ability to travel if required to perform the essential job functions. Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines. Ability to read and interpret a document if required to perform the essential job functions. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer may be required. Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 15 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department/division any "undue hardship" then the employee must be accommodated; hence omitting lifting/moving/carrying as a physical requirement.
