Travel RN - ICU

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring 2+ years of ICU experience and an active IN or compact RN license.

Job Details

• 20-bed mixed ICU/Step Down unit,
• ICU patient ratio of 2:1 and Step Down ratio of 3:1,
• Floating required to sister unit for Step Down 1:3 or progressive level patients at 4:1,
• Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30,
• Weekend and holiday rotation commitment required,
• Patient population includes severe respiratory failure, sepsis/septic shock, hemodynamic instability, non-surgical neurologic conditions, complex metabolic/endocrine disorders, cardiac conditions, and GI/hepatic failure,
• Care involves continuous cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring, arterial lines, NIH and TNK therapy, mechanical/noninvasive ventilation, titrated IV medications, and enteral/parenteral nutrition,

Job Requirements

• Active IN or compact RN license required,
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required,
• BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA),
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required,
• Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start,
• Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start,
• US Social Security Number and US home address required,
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration,
• Two separate professional references required,

Additional Information

• Manage complex ICU and Step Down patients requiring titrated medications and advanced monitoring,
• Radius rule applies; local candidates accepted at a reduced rate depending on facility location,
• Travelers should begin discussing extension with their manager 45 days prior to assignment end date,
• Only one submission allowed per Ascension health system at a time
