Physician - Psychiatrist

The Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks in Fort Smith, AR is seeking a full‑time Physician‑Psychiatrist . Board‑eligible or certified in psychiatry, the candidate must possess an MD/DO from an accredited institution, have completed residency training leading to board eligibility/certification, and hold an active, unrestricted U.S. state license. Highlights of this opportunity Potential starting base salary range: $275-300K Daily schedule Monday‑Friday, may include nights, weekends and on‑call; schedule discussed during interview. Assessment, evaluation and medication management of veterans with a variety of mental health conditions (e.g., PTSD, substance abuse, mood, anxiety, psychosis). Educate hospital staff on psychiatric needs, handling, expectations, etc. Work with families of patients receiving psychiatric care.
