Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will:

• Conduct culturally sensitive and strengths-based assessments for new patients and their families, ensuring that each individual’s unique background and experiences are considered.

• Provide individualized and family-centered therapy sessions focused on addressing the specific needs identified through assessments, utilizing evidence-based practices to guide treatment.

• Handle documentation, billing, and insurance authorization processes within established deadlines, ensuring all patient records maintain compliance with federal and state regulations.
\n
• Develop comprehensive crisis, safety, relapse prevention, and wellness plans that promote sustained mental health stability for clients in need.
\n
• Create individualized discharge plans with clients, preparing them for successful transitions after therapy ends.
\n
• Stay updated on current federal and state laws, as well as NEHS policies and procedures, adhering to ethical standards throughout your practice.
\n
• Engage in ongoing professional development through training, workshops, and continuing education to enhance your skills and competencies.
\n
• Participate actively in case consultations and agency meetings, sharing insights and strategies that benefit our collective practice.

• Complete all necessary licensure renewals and mandatory training as required.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Counseling, or a related field that grants licensure eligibility.

• Current licensure as a Mental Health Therapist in New York State (LMHC, LMFT, or LCSW).

• Experience providing therapy in an outpatient setting, preferably with a focus on family dynamics or similar client populations.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with licensure and experience. Our benefits package includes:
