Regional Manager of Operations

Regional Manager of Operations (RMO) A region of Heartland Dental supported offices is seeking a Regional Manager of Operations with strong business acumen and a proven track record of leadership. In this strategic role you will implement efficiencies and systems to grow supported offices and expand our company footprint, while maintaining close relationships with team members across the region. The RMO will cultivate an environment that delivers trustworthy dental services and ensures profitability across multiple state‑of‑the‑art offices. Training and supportive tools in practice management and leadership are provided to help you accomplish all position responsibilities. All reasonable travel‑related expenses are covered under our travel & expense policy, and Heartland Dental supplies necessary equipment, including a laptop and mobile phone. This position reports to the Regional Director of Operations (RDO). Responsibilities Oversee the administrative operations of 8 to 12 supported dental offices. Directly support dentists in setting goals and addressing operational opportunities within their practice. Motivate team members, resolve conflicts, and make difficult decisions. Analyze business reporting and create recommendations to achieve yearly budgetary and contribution goals, prioritizing issues that impact Same Office Growth, revenue, and profitability. Monitor P&L statements for each supported practice and develop ways to close performance gaps. Coordinate in‑practice visits and reviews, including quarterly business meetings for each practice. Hire, train, and coach Practice Managers. Interview and help select supported dentists. Develop workforce planning, recruiting, and retention strategies to maintain optimum practice performance. Provide reports and recommendations to management as needed. Execute other projects as assigned. Minimum Requirements Completion of at least five years of business management experience OR an associate degree plus at least three years of business management experience OR a bachelor’s degree and one year of experience. Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail. Ability to travel frequently, including overnight stays. Strong verbal and written communication skills. High level of maturity, personal initiative, and sound judgment. Outstanding relationship‑building, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to build a comfortable and approachable relationship with patients. Adequate dedicated space at home or an alternate work location to support work‑related activities. If necessary, family care services are in place to provide an undisturbed time slot for focused attention to detail. Desirable Qualifications Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology. Two or more years of managing multiple practice or retail store locations. Experience in dental practice management. Experience with practice management software, preferably Dentrix.
