Field Research Coordinator (Health, Behavior and Society)

The Health, Behavior and Society Department is seeking a Field Research Coordinator. The Field Research Coordinatoradministratively coordinates the research protocol implementation of a single complex study or multiple studies. Will ensure the efficient logistical implementation of the study activities and provide administrative support for all related issues. The selected candidate would also support the Overdose Data 2 Action Harm Reduction Services Evaluation in Maryland.Specific Duties & ResponsibilitiesCoordinate all activities of a complex research study or multiple studies to ensure validity of findings.Work with the Principal Investigator or senior research staff to develop operational plans to meet research goals.Develop tools and procedures for data collection and study processes.Collect and organize data per study requirements, e.g., participant interviews, administer questionnaires; conduct background research, laboratory processing, etc.Ensure adherence to protocols and procedures.Assist with setup of data collection system and enter and organize data. Oversee record management for research study. Oversee budget expenditures for study operations.Assist in coordinating study meetings.Participate in study meetings and provide updates on protocol implementation status and make recommendations on operational issues.Conduct literature searches to provide background information.Other duties as assigned.In addition to the duties described aboveFacilitate multiple forms of data collection, including brief surveys and in-depth interviews.Collaboratively develop research plans, study instruments, IRB amendments, and research protocols and operating procedures.Collaboratively assist in quantitative and qualitative data analyses.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in related field.One year of related experience.Additional education may substitute for required experience, and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a high school diploma/graduation equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.Preferred QualificationsMaster’s Degree in a related field.Technical Skills & Expected Level of ProficiencyData Management and Analysis - DevelopingInformation Gathering - DevelopingOral and Written Communications - DevelopingProject Coordination - DevelopingProject Management - DevelopingRegulatory Compliance - DevelopingResearch and Analytical Skills - DevelopingResource Management - DevelopingThe core technical skills listed are most essential; additional technical skills may be required based on specific division or department needs.Classified Title: Research Project Coordinator II Job Posting Title (Working Title): Field Research Coordinator (Health, Behavior and Society) Role/Level/Range: ACRO37.5/03/CE Starting Salary Range: $20.25 - $36.25 HRLY (Commensurate w/exp.)
