Accounting Manager *Brand Change* The Satire, Autograph by Marriott

Job Description We are hiring an Accounting Manager at The Satire, Autograph by Marriott. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for the hotel’s accounting and financial management requirements. The Accounting Manager will provide the General Manager with meaningful and timely information on the status of the hotel’s financial performance, in addition to responding to guest inquiries, resolving guest billing disputes, performing month-end duties and preparing daily receivables in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Location Alexandria, VA 22314, USA (On-site) Employment Type Accounting, Full-Time Responsibilities Provides hotel’s General Manager with timely and accurate data in order to make sound financial decisions. Provides accurate and meaningful financial statements to owners and management. Ensures proper controls are in place, monitors them to ensure that they are minimizing losses and maximizing profits by retaining revenues, reducing expenses, and safeguarding hotel assets. Coordinates budget preparation, working with Department Heads. Prepares and oversees annual department budget, monitors period profit and loss statement. Prints daily statements, copies all related back up and mails with statements as necessary. Post Ledger payments daily, all charges, rebates, etc. Process returned checks through Ledger and completes check requisitions to reimburse bank. Sends all returned checks that do not have valid credit card approval to collections. Administers 10-30 day calls on outstanding accounts. Handles credit card inquiries and charge backs. Reconciles credit card accounts. Prepare and run write-off meetings at end of month. Processes vouchers. Records all cashier overages and shortages. Publishes cashier over/short daily to department heads and appropriate. Benefits We offer competitive wages.
