Key Qualifications:

• Active Florida Speech Language Pathologist license
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) awarded by ASHA
• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a closely related discipline
• Prior experience in a school-based setting is highly preferred
• Up-to-date district-specific background check, fingerprinting, and compliance with all credentialing requirements
• Strong ability to collaborate with school staff, parents, and students
• Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Serve as the SLP for students in grades 6-8 within a single middle school setting
• Conduct thorough assessments, develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), and provide direct speech and language therapy services
• Monitor student progress, prepare required reports, and maintain all documentation in accordance with district policies
• Consult and collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other support staff to optimize student outcomes
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional recommendations to families and educational teams
