Accounts Payable Clerk

Blue Chip Talent , in partnership with a leading organization, is seeking a skilled Accounts Payable Specialist . This role is responsible for processing vendor invoices, maintaining accurate supplier records, and supporting accounts payable operations while ensuring compliance with internal controls and financial policies. Job Duties Receive, review, and process vendor invoices for accuracy and completeness Format and prepare invoice data in Excel for upload templates Maintain documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures Generate, analyze, and monitor accounts payable reports Research invoice discrepancies and provide solutions to internal teams, suppliers, and customers Partner with cross-functional departments to obtain required documentation and resolve payment issues Ensure timely and accurate entry of supplier and invoice information Support internal and external audits, system testing, and other accounting initiatives as assigned Skills & Experience Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent related work experience Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications Experience working with spreadsheets, data entry, and financial documentation Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Knowledge of invoice processing and accounts payable procedures Understanding of internal controls and compliance requirements, including SOX Ability to accurately maintain supplier and invoice records Previous experience in an Accounts Payable role Experience working within ERP or accounting systems Experience supporting accounting or financial audits Familiarity with system testing during software upgrades or implementations Experience analyzing financial reports and resolving invoice discrepancies Blue Chip Talent is an award-winning and woman-owned talent solutions provider based out of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.
