Location: Overland Park, KS

Unit Name: Cardiac Specialty Unit

Number of Beds: 26
Patient Ratios: 1:4
Staffing Description: Charge Nurse, Bedside Nurse, Patient Care Technician (PCT), Unit Secretary
Type of Equipment: Pacemakers
Documentation System: Meditech
Scheduling Requirements: Self-scheduling; three weekend shifts in a four-week period on day shift and four weekend shifts in a four-week period on night shift
Floating Policy: Float to Telemetry, Med/Surg, OSS

Hiring Profile

Requested Skill Set:
- Must have telemetry experience.
- Advanced skills in managing cardiac patients post-procedure.
- Procedures performed on unit: Titration of IV medications (cardiac, heparin, insulin, etc.)
Certifications Required: None

Dress Code

Scrubs: Royal blue top, black pants

Unit Guidelines/Policies

All staff must follow hospital-wide policies and procedures.

Awards/Recognition

This is a brand-new cardiac progressive stepdown unit.
