Senior DevOps Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to build and maintain product and development platforms leveraging modern data tools such as Databricks, Immuta, Starburst, Collibra, and AWS. In this role, you will be moving data and data management applications to the cloud, improving efficiency, reducing costs, and enabling better data-driven business insights.

Responsibilities

• Define, implement, and document CI/CD best practices for cloud-based data platforms.
• Configure and maintain data engineering tools including Databricks, Immuta, Starburst, and Collibra in AWS environments.
• Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and processes to improve speed, efficiency, and scalability.
• Coach application developers on building scalable and maintainable applications.
• Conduct spot checks and provide guidance to product and operations teams.
• Collaborate with partners across business functions to ensure technology solutions align with business strategies.
• Understand and manage dependencies across multiple platforms and applications.
• Implement and maintain security standards in accordance with corporate policies.
• Support data access control and governance through integration with Immuta and Collibra.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
• At least 5 years of relevant technical experience, including 3 years managing complex systems.
• Strong experience with AWS cloud services, particularly in data infrastructure.
• Hands on experience with Databricks or similar data processing platforms.
• Knowledge of data governance tools (Collibra) and data access control systems (Immuta).
• Experience with distributed query engines such as Starburst.
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Maven) and source control systems (Git, BitBucket, AWS CodeCommit).
• Familiarity with binary/artifact repositories (Maven, Nexus, Artifactory).
• Strong scripting skills and experience with Linux operating systems.
• Experience with Agile tools (Jira, VersionOne).
• Demonstrated expertise in automation, testing, and operational best practices.
