Procurement Specialist

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Jacksonville, FL that is seeking a Procurement Specialist.

Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to support inventory purchasing and supplier management activities. This role is responsible for ensuring products are purchased within established cost, quality, and service parameters while maintaining optimal inventory levels and supporting internal business operations.

Key Responsibilities:
* Review purchasing requirements and place purchase orders with suppliers to maintain appropriate inventory levels
* Ensure orders are accurate with respect to pricing, quantities, freight terms, and delivery timelines
* Monitor inventory and purchasing reports, taking action to address shortages, excess inventory, and allocation issues
* Confirm purchase orders with vendors and resolve discrepancies related to pricing, quantities, freight, or scheduling
* Coordinate with logistics teams and suppliers to ensure timely product delivery and receipt
* Analyze inventory trends and participate in inventory review meetings to support effective stock management
* Maintain accurate item and vendor information, including pricing, freight terms, shipping points, and other critical data
* Partner with finance and suppliers on payment requirements and purchasing processes
* Communicate regularly with cross-functional teams, including sales, logistics, finance, and operations, to support business needs

REQUIREMENTS:
* Experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, inventory management, or a related field
* Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
* Experience working with inventory systems, purchase orders, and vendor management
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP or inventory management systems preferred
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
