Licensed Veterinary Technician

Sign‑On Bonus We are offering a $5,000 sign‑on bonus to eligible Registered Veterinary Technician applicants. Position Overview Redmond Fall City Animal Hospital, a Thrive Pet Healthcare Partner, is hiring a full‑time Licensed Veterinary Technician. As a Licensed Veterinary Technician, you will play an essential role in providing end‑to‑end care for our patients, including outpatient treatments, surgical assistance, laboratory testing, hospitalized patient care, and admission/discharge management. Role Responsibilities Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients during outpatient appointments. Assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow. Obtain pertinent health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts. Assist in maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems. Perform anesthesia and sedation induction and monitoring, dentistry (including dental radiographs and charting), obtain diagnostic radiographs, and provide nursing care for hospitalized patients as instructed by the DVM. Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, surgical suite, exam rooms, and labs. Prepare patients, medications, and equipment for examinations, surgery, dentistry, and sedated procedures. Collect and prepare patient lab samples for in‑house and reference lab diagnostic screening. Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on membership options, medications, and additional treatments. Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members. Experience & Skills Requirements Current Washington State Veterinary Technician license. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Perform basic nursing skills such as taking vital signs, venipuncture, intravenous catheter placement, medication administration, etc. Able to enter medical notes and maintain medical records; can type 45 wpm minimally. Able to lift 40 lbs unassisted. Strong desire to practice empathetic, gold‑standard medicine benefiting our patients through all life stages.
