Sr. Accountant

DescriptionThe salary range for this position is $90,000-$110,000 and it comes with benefits, including medical, vision, dental, life, and disability insurance. Whoever fills this role is expected to be promoted quickly. Review both GAAP and Tax books and records, periodic financial statements and capital account statements for various private equity funds, holding companies, and management entities prepared by the company's Fund Accountants.Job Description:• Supervise the monthly/quarterly close process and completion of related support and control documentation (both tax and GAAP).• Prepare calendar with deliverable deadlines; communicate to other team members and hold them accountable for meeting deadlines.• Manage Fund Accountant team to answer questions, provide technical guidance, and review point commentary.• Lead fund accountant team to ensure optimal efficiencies by reviewing processes, including capitalizing on accounting system capabilities.• Prepare and review expense allocations to ensure compliance with the limited partnership agreements.• Communicate with limited partners by reviewing responses or responding directly to accounting related investor inquiries.• Coordinate with public accounting firm auditors to plan interim reviews and yearend audits, respond to questions and information requests, and participate in technical discussions.• Research and apply accounting rules to investment fund transactions by referencing the Audit Guide for Investment Companies.• Apply the limited partnership agreement provisions to investment fund transactions and partner allocations.• Review capital call and distribution allocations and investor notifications.• Prepare and review responses to SEC inquiries.• Assist with various ad hoc projects such as improvements to investor reporting, accounting software upgrades, fundraising, etc.• Support various aspects of the company's Tax function such as reviewing federal and state K-1s, providing information to tax advisors, discrete projects.RequirementsJob Requirements:• Bachelor's degree in Accounting• Proficient in Excel (formulas, shortcuts, etc.)• Detail oriented with a strong work ethic• Team player willing to take on many different tasks in a small team environment• Positive attitude that can contribute favorably to the finance team’s culture• Intellectually curious and willingness to express ideas• Ability to multitask• CPA not required but encouragedBenefits:• Competitive base salary and annual performance-based bonus.• Full suite of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, disability, and life.• 401(k) savings plan which currently includes a generous company match.• Paid Time Off and holiday schedules.• Hybrid work schedule.• A monthly mobile phone allowance.• Annual charitable contribution allowance.• Support pursuit of CPA licenseTo apply to this hybrid role, please send your resume to John Sadofsky at View email address on click.appcast.io specialized recruiting professionals apply their expertise and utilize our proprietary AI to find you great job matches faster.Job typePermIndustryFinancial Services
