Accounting Manager

About the Role Accounting Manager leads the general ledger, monthly close processes, and financial reporting workflows to ensure impeccable accuracy and compliance with US GAAP. This role operates as the functional anchor for financial controls, driving the integrity of the balance sheet and income statements during a period of rapid scale. The team relies on this role to navigate complex accounting treatments, manage external audits, and scale financial systems. By bridging technical accounting standards with day-to-day transaction processing, this role ensures the organization remains fully prepared for rigorous regulatory scrutiny and SEC-aligned reporting standards. Key Responsibilities Manage the end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring precise journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation under US GAAP. Design, implement, and maintain a robust internal control environment compliant with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Section 404 requirements. Coordinate directly with external auditors, preparing detailed audit schedules, walk-throughs, and technical accounting memoranda to streamline annual audits. Supervise and mentor senior and staff accountants, reviewing work papers and establishing clear KPIs for the team's operational excellence. Optimize ERP workflows and automated accounting systems (such as NetSuite or Sage Intacct) to reduce manual close bottlenecks. Collaborate with the FP&A team to analyze budget-to-actual variances and provide critical inputs for consolidated financial reporting. What We Are Looking For 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally combining national public accounting (Big 4 preferred) with corporate accounting experience. Active CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license is required. Deep technical mastery of US GAAP, SOX compliance, and SEC reporting frameworks. Extensive experience working with enterprise ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Workday) and automated reconciliation tools (e.g., BlackLine). Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Bonus: Experience in SaaS revenue recognition (ASC 606), equity administration accounting (ASC 718), or navigating a company through an IPO readiness phase. #J-18808-Ljbffr
