Security Officer II USAU (multiple openings & shifts)

Overview Security Officer II at Stanford Health Care ensures safety and security during assigned shifts, responding to incidents, investigating crimes, reporting findings, and performing dispatch duties as needed. Key Responsibilities Conduct safety inspections and monitor the facility. Respond to code‑designated incidents and emergencies. Investigate crimes and incidents; prepare detailed reports with causes, actions, and recommendations. Perform dispatch duties as required. Provide security services in the Emergency Department, including screening, visitor management, patient monitoring, and incident response. Patrol specific business units or locations. Shift & Scheduling 12‑hour rotating shifts. Frontside Days: 0400, 0700, 1000 (Week1: Sun‑Wed; Week2: Sun‑Tue) Frontside Nights: 1600, 1900, 2200 (Week1: Sun‑Tue; Week2: Sun‑Tue, Sat) Backside Days: 0400, 0700, 1000 (Week1: Thu‑Sat; Week2: Wed‑Sat) Backside Nights: 1600, 1900, 2200 (Week1 & Week2: Wed‑Sat) Location Stanford Health Care Education & Experience High school diploma or GED. Minimum two years of progressively responsible, directly related work experience. Required Certifications & Training Non‑violent Crisis Intervention or comparable certification within 30days of hire. Complete the following training within the first 6months of hire: De‑escalation, CPI, Patient Rights and Holding, Psychiatric Security Training, and Handcuffing. Valid California Driver’s License, in‑state. Security Guard Registration Card (SGRC) or Private Security Officer License (PPSO) required within 90days. Key Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Adaptability, problem solving, and strategic thinking. Strong communication, both written and verbal, at the appropriate level. Proficiency with security computer systems and software. Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations and police procedures. Capacity to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Physical ability to perform job functions as required. Compensation Base pay: $29.98–$33.75 per hour; final rate determined by internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.
