Overview The nurse manager is responsible for the daily operations, staffing, and quality of care in surgical services departments, including pre-operative, intra-operative, post-operative and GI areas. Responsibilities Manage the daily functions of the perioperative department which includes the operating room, pre/post op areas and the GI area Ensure patient safety and compliance with protocols Collaborate with surgeons and other professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure smooth surgical workflows Align department goals with hospital\'s strategic objectives Manage staff performance and scheduling Manage the unit\'s financial budgets Requirements Master\'s degree from an accredited program required or must be registered in a master\'s program with projected graduation date in three years of position acceptance Valid NYS Nursing License Minimum of 5 years clinical experience in perioperative services along with progressive management experience BLS/ACLS/Infection Control Certifications C.N.O.R Certification Membership in A.O.R.N #J-18808-Ljbffr
