Prefer a minimum of one year clinical work experience in managing advanced heart failure patients. One year of critical care experience is a plus.License: South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN License in hand.Certifications: BLSMust-Have: Experience with durable mechanical circulatory support devices (e.g., HM 3, Heartware, BrioVAD). Experience with intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP) and Impella devices. Strong cardiac background and experience with ventricular assist devices (VAD) is essential.Description: The Cardiac Mechanical Support Coordinator will be responsible for rounding on both inpatient and outpatient individuals. This role includes servicing and troubleshooting devices in both inpatient and clinic settings. The coordinator is considered a subject matter expert (SME) and must possess appropriate knowledge of the devices. Comfort with these devices is critical to ensure the safety and well-being of patients. The position requires the individual to be available for one weekend per month and one weekday of call. Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams.
