About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP of Accounting to lead the accounting function with a focus on driving significant improvements in people, processes, and systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for all core corporate accounting activities, including strategic leadership in accounting and tax implications for business decisions, and will oversee the plant-level controllers. This role requires a leader who can build a culture of continuous improvement, establish clear goals, and foster collaboration and innovation within the accounting organization. The VP of Accounting will also be the principal point of contact with external auditors and will lead all aspects of the annual audit and related filings. Candidates for the VP of Accounting position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a CPA certification required and an MBA or advanced degree preferred. A minimum of 15 years of progressive accounting leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a VP+ role, is necessary. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing external audits, complex financial reporting, and M&A activities. Strong technical accounting expertise, exceptional leadership and team-building skills, and the ability to drive process improvements and technology implementations are essential. The role demands a strategic, detail-oriented individual with outstanding communication skills, high integrity, and a strong sense of fiduciary responsibility. Experience with financial planning tools and systems, particularly NetSuite, is a plus.
