Professional Land Surveyor - Hawaii

Responsibilities Work from the office or a home office in a hybrid capacity, providing oversight and technical direction to field crews performing control, boundary, topographic and laser scanning surveys. Assist Project Managers and other discipline professionals to support the delivery of major infrastructure programs. Oversee field crew setup and execution of surveys. Plan, process and adjust geodetic control networks. Process feature code of topographic field data in CAD. Generate, edit and clean up Digital Terrain Models (DTM). Review title commitments. Conduct public records research. Perform COGO calculations. Determine land and right‑of‑way boundaries. Draft land survey plats, ALTA surveys and topographic maps. Write property descriptions. Obtain permits and rights of entry. Develop and implement quality control plans for tasks and deliverables. Collaborate with Project Managers to estimate hours needed for each task. Work with a multidisciplinary team to support successful project delivery. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols. Work outdoors in variable weather conditions and varied terrain. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate or bachelor’s degree in an applicable field. 5+ years’ experience in land surveying. Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microstation ORD or Trimble TBC. Experience with DOT standards and specifications preferred but not required. CST, LSI or PLS certification preferred but not required. Ability to travel up to 25% of the time. Good social and communication skills. Ability to pass a drug screen. Valid driver’s license. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience and relevant education or training.
