Overview
Registered Nurse - NICU, traveling assignment in Burlington, Vermont. NICU-focused care in a hospital setting with a 17-week contract beginning 09/21/2026. Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care to neonates and newborns in a NICU Level III setting, including monitoring vitals, supporting respiratory therapy, and assisting with feeding and growth plans.
- Float to newborn NICU, mother/baby, nursery, and related units; participate in newborn rounds and support deliveries as needed.
- Collaborate with neonatology, nursing teams, and ancillary staff to implement individualized care plans and ensure safe transitions to next care settings or discharge.
- Manage charting and documentation in EPIC EMR, adhering to unit and regulatory standards; contribute to data collection for rounds and quality metrics.
- Maintain patient safety and infection control practices; engage families with education and support to aid infant care at home.

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years NICU experience
- NICU Level III experience required; please list NICU levels in work history
- Teaching facility experience required
- EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years is required
- AHA BLS and NRP required; STABLE and RNC-NIC preferred
- Travel experience preferred; if no prior travel, experience at a large (500+ bed) NICU teaching facility is preferred
- Ability to float to related units and work 12-hour rotating shifts; no on-call required
- Reliable transportation is recommended due to area transportation considerations
- Demonstrated ability to work every other weekend; may be scheduled more often if needed
- Ensure all work history details (bed counts, EMR, facility type) are accurately documented
