This full-time, onsite position offers a competitive salary range of $140,000 to $180,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Work Environment

This role is set within the vibrant and collaborative environment of our Cardiology Clinic, located within a well-equipped hospital facility. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team where open communication and teamwork are prioritized. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, focusing on both outpatient and inpatient care, allowing for a structured yet impactful work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough and accurate physical and mental health assessments, completing comprehensive and problem-focused examinations to identify patient needs.
• Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests and develop treatment strategies based on the results, ensuring alignment with clinical guidelines.
• Utilize delegated prescriptive authority to prescribe appropriate medications and therapeutic interventions, while meticulously monitoring for efficacy and safety.
• Collaborate with supervising physicians and the healthcare team to formulate and implement tailored care plans that focus on patient-centered outcomes.
• Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatment options, and health promotion strategies, emphasizing the importance of adherence to medication regimens.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment plans precisely, ensuring timely referrals and consultations when patient care needs exceed your scope of practice.
• Provide consultative services related to cardiology, leveraging your specialized training to enhance patient management across various healthcare settings.
• Perform approved invasive procedures under the guidance of supervisory physicians, maintaining a focus on patient comfort and safety.
• Flexibly adapt to department needs by providing coverage beyond the regular schedule, contributing to a cohesive team approach to patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Master's Degree in Physician Assistant studies.
• Active Physician Assistant license and certification in the state of Florida.
• A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant.
• Demonstrated proficiency in active listening, critical thinking, effective communication, and time management.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in cardiology or related healthcare settings, enabling a deeper understanding of patient needs in this specialty.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems tailored for cardiology, optimizing workflows and patient documentation.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; candidates must obtain this within 30 days of hiring.
